Fields of Forces

At the invitation of the Serendipity Arts Festival, the Musée d'Art Moderne de Paris presents an exhibition titled Fields of Forces bringing together a set of video works from its collection. The project focuses on the dynamics and driving forces – coordinated, combined or resistant and dissident – that shape the world. The action of one body on another can be considered from different points of view: mechanical, physical, philosophical but also political and artistic. This universal principle, both physical and metaphysical, generates a mutation, a transformation of bodies that the exhibition seeks to observe. Structured around an inventory of human and non-human, individual or collective actions (falling, gravitating, undulating, challenging, connecting, traveling, etc.) Fields of Forces deals with the interactions that manifest life and art.
